Hey, how about that! LUN's that are only a week apart! Quite a feat if I
say so myself. Regular warnings apply, though. Don't expect this to
become a regular trend. . .

Feature Article: Act, Damn You!
------------------------------------------
Long has the tyranny of Mr. Kenny reigned in the high school
theater. As you can tell by my sentence construction, this is a bad
thing. Mr. Kenny is not the most unbiased of people. It's rumored that he
once openly discussed the problem of getting an actor that would look
similar to another actor for the parts of siblings. THIS TOOK PLACE EVEN
BEFORE AUDITIONS. He had already cast the roles. bastard . . .
Anyway, I like acting, it's not like I'm a thespian ( or anything
that rhymes with thespian ), but I like to act. But with Mr. Kenny and
all, I figured I wouldn't have a chance in any play. But this year, my
friend Josh O'Neill decides he wants to direct a student play. So he asks
people to audition, and he asks me. I'm kinda iffy, cuz I don't know if I
have experience or the calibre that I've seen his actor friends perform
with. And then he tells me the play is going to be "Twelve Angry Men."
I'm sold.
This is like the best three act play there is. It only takes
fourteen people to perform ( thirteen if you don't include the judge ),
but it packs so much emotion. So I audition and lo & behold, I'm cast as
Juror No.1! So Now I'm in a play! Yay!

News Boxers

Remember how I like to make music videos? well, I was fiddling
around with the "Eyes on Me" mpeg ( courtesy of Brother Rice ), and
accidentally brought it up while WinAmp was playing. That got me
wondering. "What if I played the video to a different song?" So I tried
it. It works great so far with Nikki French's "Total Eclipse of the
Heart" and Madonna's "Like A Prayer" ( you have to start the movie _just_
as the Winamp display comes up 00:11 for "Like a Prayer" ). Try it! . . .
We're watching Charlie Chaplin's "Modern Times" in Film class. It's
pretty funny, and it's the last film that Chaplin's character the Tramp
shows up. Try to rent it, it's funny . . .

THIS IS COOL

     - Brand New Day, by Sting
Look past the label of "Mom & pop's kinda music." Sting is a master
of the audio arts, and his latest CD is nothing less than great. Proving
his versatility, he incorporates a wide range of genres into his latest
effort, from country music (AUGH!) to Arabic rap. The result is a
refreshingly new style that changes with each track. I especially like
the second track, "Desert Rose." And of course, if you're too cheap to
buy it . . . talk to me and I might give you some free sample tracks.
