I have no excuse now,
I'm just really busy . . .
Feature Article: Eventual
Entropy or How to Really Fuck Up Your
Schedule
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The long absence between updates are were not unexpected, but
saddening, not
only to the audience ( I would assume ), but to your
humble author as well.
Thousands of things have conspired against me and
sucked away all my time.
First are the college paps. Yeah, I'm still
working on them. During the
summer, those three weeks between Harvard &
school, I figured I would get
the most out of the rest of my summer, so I
didn't do them. To paraphrase the
great Dan Ackroyd ( or however the hell
you spell it ) "Lukas, you ignorant
Slut . . ."
School itself is also adding it's share
of work. AP Physics has
turned out to be more troublesome than I thought it
would be, and the
homework is no longer one-night kiddie fare. Spanish is
also worrying me.
I've realized that over three years of Spanish I've
memorized nearly all
the verb forms. Pretty good, you might say, except I
STILL HAVE NO
SPANISH VOCABULARY!!! AAUUGGHH!! Human Behavior is okay, but
I've had to
organize my schedule to accommodate my experiment. It involves
sitting
right next to complete strangers, even when there are plenty of
free
seats around. AP Statistics also gave me a little trouble, but I fed
the
Stat Beast some homework, and it's quieted down. And English? Oedipus
Rex
is a cakewalk.
Now normally, I could handle it.
Even with the Writing SAT this
Friday, I would still be able to slam &
cram my way through. but all at
once, a wild card was thrown into my life.
The object that is the bane of
my existence and the thief of my free will,
Final Fantasy VIII. Oh,
misery! Oh, why has the lord introduced such a
destructive yet seductive
object into my life?!?!?! I haven't been
sacrificing any homework time,
you'll be happy to know, but my SLEEP TIME has
been reduced
significantly. I now go to bed a midnight but sleep at three or
four in
the morning, waking up for school at six. But it so good . .

Special announcement:
Thanks to Patricia Wang, who thoughtfully
ACTUALLY sent a reply for the
missing LUN,* but Princess Di got me the
right one. So, in accordance with
the bribe, er, reward, Di gets a free
Clerks bumper sticker. I'll get it to
you as soon as possible, but . . .
In
a related note, the trip to "Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash" has
been
pushed back to November for several reasons. Firstly, that is the
time for
NJEA, resulting in four day weekends, and no excuse for the
Jersey Brothers
to not be able to get together! Also, by that time, I'll
be done with Early
Applications. This also gives EVERYBODY TIME TO GET
THEIR ORDERS IN TO
ME! As I've said before, I'm willing to take requests
for items to be
purchased. But since nobody's been saying anything, I
guess you've just not
been reading them. Rrrrr . . . urge to kill, rising
. . .
I
got an army jacket at the local thrift store, it's pretty cool,
and for
ironic effect, I wear the Superman shirt underneath. The big
joke, obviously,
being that I'll never get into the army . . . Like I
said before, Writing SAT
is this Sat, and I've no time to prepare! Lord,
please stick me in a group
with stupid people . . . I did my little bit
to lampoon the Tri-state flood.
I drew a banner for the Opinions section
of the school newspaper, featuring
our school being taken by a tidal wave
. . . HSPT schedule this week,
so for Tuesday through Thursday (Oct
5-7), school starts at 11:20 and gets
out at 2:51! That's less than four
hours of school! . . . Got both "Clerks"
and "Mallrats" soundtracks.
There is nothing but good songs on those things.
Surprise to me was a
redone version of Buttercup by some rock band. Ain't
bad, actually.
Woulda gotten "Chasing Amy," but that's not possible. It's a
complicated
story . . . "Dogma" trailer is out, playing at least before
"American
Beauty," as for other movies it's in front of, I haven't many
movies
these days to be able to say. . .
THIS IS
COOL
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
- "Mumford" ( it's a movie )
Not
much time for me to write a review, since Mom's breathing down
my neck to get
off the computer. It's a story about some psychiatrist,
and he solves
everybody's problems in town. Any more and I give away
plot, even bits that
the trailer gives away. But go see this movie. And
there this guy in it that
looks vaguely familiar, but I can't remember
from where. . . ( I obviously
know, but I'm trying to get you guys to go
see it!
)
